Answer: Abstract This assignment is based on the marketing strategy of a company called Helpline which was started by us, in New York. The company is in the service industry and provides various services like payment of bills for the people, courier services and apart from this the company gives financial support like loans to the people and are planning to open their new service that is insurance to the people, the corporate houses as well as the vehicles. The marketing strategies of the company are outlined in the assignment and the integrated communication mix of the company is also highlighted. The companys current operation as well as the future operation is summarized below. The company overview The company is called the Helpline, is a company that is started by me and my friend. The company was started in the year 2012. Initially the company was concentrating only one service. Over the year the company grew from a scratch to a dependable company. The company now provides help to others who want to start their own business (Chen and Chiang, 2011). The company provides services like providing small term loans to the people of the area for starting their own business in return of mortgages. The person needs to pay the interest along with the principle amount to the company every month after a certain time period. The company started with helping out people who are busy in helping them with the payment of the bills like the water bills, telephone bills, and electricity bills. There was another service that is provided by Helpline is a courier service (Uzelac and Zafar, 2006). Description of the business Helpline is an innovative as well as creative service provider in the area where it operates. The company was first in the locality as well as in the city. There was no other company which provided this service (Constantinides, 2006). We were offering our services at a low cost, with efficiency and within a short period of time. We have employees who deliver the bills as well as the parcels and other deliveries. The loans are provided in consultation with the people who will give the assurance that they will return the money along with interest. We charge a minimum interest so the people are interested to take the loan from us. We have registered ourselves as a private financing institute and hold the business license. The other services that we do are also for a price that is fair enough for the people to pay. The people need to repay the loan with in a period of 3-4 years depending on the amount they take, and the amount of interest that they pay every month (Degryse and Ongena, 2001). The company will provide the service 24x7, regarding the payment of the bills and the courier services. Our company is open all the time and will attend to the need of the people at all time of the day and whenever they require it Current market situation Helpline is a company that is operating in the service industry with the aim of giving the service to the people. At this point of time the company have no as such competitor in the area. There are chances that the company will have competitor in the future. We are based in Sunny Side in New York (Gander, 2012). There are many companies in the area that we have approached for our services. There are chances that they will offer to have our services in the future. Apart from the corporate offices, the people in the area have already accepted our services and they are totally dependent on us for the services. We offer to give our services at the lowest possible cost so that they are affordable to all the people (Goi, 2009). We also give discounts to the people we are our regular clients. The people who take loan form us also have good terms. We follow up the people to check if they are utilizing the money correctly or not. The current market situation is favorable at the moment as the people are satisfied with our services. More over there are no as such competitor at the market in the area. SWOT analysis of the company Though we are new in the market, with only three years of operation, we have grown quite a big within these few years. The strengths of the company are The company has a strong market share. Since we are the only operating company in this sector, there are as such no competitors in the market at the moment (Henry, 2002). We are providing an innovative service to the people, which are liked by the people as they have lack of time. The company has skilled employees who look after the services to the people. They are hard working and look after the needs of the people. Weakness of the company Helpline has limited access to the other market. The market area is concentrated to one place only. All the people area is not aware of the services that we provide. We need to make our presence felt to the people. We do not have the access to the entire corporate sector in the area and the nearby area. We have started our operation in these segments and it will take time. There are shortages of vehicles in the company, and we need to add some more delivery vans so that more orders can be taken (Jiao, 2011). Opportunities of the company We are planning to target new customers in the other area There are chances that we will spread our operation in other areas in a short span of time. We are targeting the corporate offices so that they use our services in the payment of the bills and the delivery of goods from one place to another. There are chances that the people will come to know more of the services that we provide and ensure that they take the services from us (Scheiber, 2001). Threats of the company There are chances that there may arise some other company in the area with the same business Since we are new people do not rely as much on the financial support that we provide. There are chances that people may not feel to offer us the services With the introduction of the new mobile technologies, people are able to pay the bills online and thus there are chances that they will not take the services from us by paying money. Objectives of the company in terms of sales volume, market share and profit Helpline started with the aim to provide help to the people, mainly the people who are busy. There are people who do not have the time to pay the bills by person, so we took up the charge of helping the people (Katsioloudes, Grant and McKechnie, 2007). With the advancement in the technology there ar3e various ways the people can pay their bills, so we started to look for other options to diversify our business. We came up with the delivery service that is the courier services and were successful in it. People were placing orders with us. We are planning to increase the sales of the service; that is widening the area of the service that we provide. We have started the new section of giving loans to people who wants to start their own business, in return of interest in addition to the principle that has to be paid to us within a stipulated time period. In the next venture we are planning to add another segment to our company (Kola and Akinyele, 2010). We are planning to provide insurance to the people, the corporate sectors and the vehicles. The insurance will be given to people on the basis of the premium that they pay and the duration for which they want the insurance. In the future we are planning to separate the two wings of the business that is the financial sector and the service sector. The market share is not as much now; we cover a small geographic location. We are opening our new office in New Jersey which is a big step for us (Kotler and Armstrong, 2012). It is seen that there are demand of these financial services and the people always look for services where the rates are low. We are aware of the fact that we are new in the market, and it will take time for us to make the presence felt, but we are confident from the fact that people have accepted us for the services and are showing interest (Virvilaite, Seinauskiene and Sestokiene, 2011). Our target customers are the young people mainly the fresh graduates, who have the urge to make it big in life by starting their own business. We provide loans to them. Apart from them, if we find that there are potential customers, then we also consider them (Krstic and Becic, 2011). Marketing strategy with details of the 4Ps Product- As discussed earlier, we are in the service industry, the services that we offer are considered as our core product. We try to provide the service with utmost care and commitment. In the courier services we try to deliver the goods to the people with in time and in cases before time so that the people have faith in us and consider us while having to deliver something to the near and the dear ones (Lane Keller, 2001). Apart from the individual persons, we offer the delivery services to the corporate offices. Our payment of the bills is also open and we continue to do it and keep it open as long as there is demand in the market. Price- The prices that we charge from the people are low and competitive in the market. We believe that in goodwill of the company and think that the word of mouth has an effective influence on the people. The interest rates against which we offer the loans are not high and are easily payable by the people. The insurance section that we are starting is also for attractive. The premiums are not high and the people will be able to afford it (Marsh, 2011). Place- we are currently holding our operation in New York and the nearby areas, and we are opening our new location in New Jersey. We are hoping that it will be successful. Promotion- mainly we are promoting with the help of advertisement in the television as well as newspaper. Apart from this there are hoardings that will display the services that we offer. We believe in word of mouth as the best way of promotion. We rely on that very much (Samli, 2013). Integrated marketing communications strategy Personal selling The employees of HELPLINE will try to persuade the people to take the services from the company. They will try to build a good rapport with the people so that they can sell the loans to the people, as well the corporate sector that needs insurance policies The employees will approach the people at their homes We will go the different service organization inthe locality and the city Company will show best insurance plans to interested customers as per their expectations and requirement regarding different insurance companys plans, process and benefits Sales promotion Sales promotion can be done by means of distribution of pamphlet. Press release will be done to make a grand launch of the company Regular promotion will be done by means of advertisement in newspaper and television Free service as well as discounts will be given in order to attract the people. Brand blueprint HELPLINE need to develop a good essence of it, along with personality of the brand. In other words it is defining of the brand. It is important for the company to have a clear definition as well as identity of what it does, along with the logo of the company. The mission as well as vision of the HELPLINE will be defined A logo of the company need to be developed so that the people identify the company from a distance (Ruskin-Brown, 2006). Word of mouth Word of mouth includes the promotion that the consumers of the services do in when they are satisfied with the services. They recommend the service to others when their needs and wants are fulfilled. HELPLINE tries to give good service to the common people as well as the service sectors so that they spread the word to other people (Mihart, 2012). Often employees of HELPLINE will spread the good word for the company so that they are able to sell the loans, insurance to the people. They must mention that their rates are low compared to others and they offer services at a minimum cost. Social media Social media is becoming an important platform for communicating the message to the people as a large number of people have access to it (Obikeze and Eze, 2013). If one people are benefitted from the services or them like the experience they will talk about it in the social media and share their experience, which will make the services of helpline known to the people. Thus it is an important medium of communication. We are planning to open the official page of the company in Facebook https://www.facebook.com/helpline/newyork Twitter https://Helpline.twitter.com Web presence Our website is www.helpline.net Our email id is helplinesunny@helpline.net To have a website is important for a business. The company helpline is planning to open a website so that the people, who have less time to come to the office personally in order to collect information about the services, can see the website and collect the necessary information from their home and in the near future they can also place the order over the internet (Otubanjo, 2013). The website will contain all the necessary information regarding the loans and the insurance and the criteria for those. Business to business partnership Business to business partnership is important for helpline since it will make them stronger in the market and they will have more customers. Moreover it will help the company in case of financial crisis and other tough situation (Rajkovic, 2011). Advertising Advertising can be done in the newspaper. We are planning to advertise in the New York Times. Television ad will create awareness in the people and people can come to know about the services that the company provides. The television Ad will be given in Comedy Central, Star Movies, HBO and TLC. As these are some of the leading channels thus these will be ideal for the ads (Zahay and Griffin, 2010). Community public relations The company will provide education to the poor children for free We will distribute clothes to the poor people in other country once a year as social work References Chen, W. and Chiang, A. Blaming Rap and Hip-Hop for Negative Messages free essay sample

Nation Does Hip-Hop music send a negative message to our youth? Well some people think It does and others think differently about It. I think It goes both ways and but Ill go more In detail In this essay. As far as I can remember, Hip-Hop music has ruled the Industry and continues to till this day. The negative part of rap music that people say sends a negative message is the lyrics. Some songs talk about killing, drugs and gang violence. Thats the part I dont care for but it sells so, itll continue to remain on top. Some music was blamed for shootings and some resulted in death. When it comes to violence, the Tuba and Baggy scandal comes to mind. This was labeled as an East and West coast war between the two. They both talked about killing each others families, having sex with each others wives, which lead to both of them being murdered (Dorian 2010). We will write a custom essay sample on Blaming Rap and Hip-Hop for Negative Messages or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Tuba had some great songs that hit home for some people. One that hit home for was Dear Mama, it talked about him growing up and how his mother made the best for him and his sister with what they had. I love when rappers speak from experience and in ways can influences people positively. A rapper by the name of Hurricane, tells his four kids that what they see and hear is just a record or video that was produced (Samuels 1995). I think its good for rappers to explain this issue with their kids. Itll give them a better understanding as they get older. Some of the negatives are when rappers get into trouble for drugs, murders and violations. Some kids look up to them as role models and when they see the trouble they get into they do the same or even worse. A lot of rappers stress to kids to stay in school and get an education. (Samuels 1995). Sometimes music is a way out for some people.A lot of rappers grew up in the hood and were In and out of trouble but used music as strength to get out. I think the media portrays It differently and blows rap music out of proportion, as they do everything. The media Is quick to put out the negative things but what about the positive things that they do. Some rappers give back and help out in any way they can. I Just read about rapper T. L. Talking some kid out of committing suicide. Thats definitely a highlight but I bet not too many people heard about It. In closing, I think rap music goes both ways as far as sending negative messages to our youth.

Free Essays on Slave Reparations

Opposition to Slave Reparations Congressman John Conyers (D, Michigan) and the City Councils of Chicago and Washington agree, the descendants of slaves in the United States should not receive money to compensate them for the work their ancestors did as slaves. The Congressman and the City Councils are not alone apparently, an assortment of black activists, politicians and lobbying groups support the same cause. There are a number of reasons why no one should take this demand seriously. First and most important, the debt, whatever it may have been, has already been repaid. Abraham Lincoln made this clear in his Second Inaugural. There he argued that it would be just if the Civil War consumed all the wealth piled up by the slaves and if every drop of slave blood drawn by the slaveholder's whip was paid for by a drop drawn by a sword. It took the South decades, perhaps almost a century, to recover the wealth lost in the war. The lives lost on both sides of course were never recovered. It was the sacrifices of those who fought and died in the war, Lincoln announced at Gettysburg, that would make possible a new birth of freedom in the United States. Every American, regardless of color, has benefited from that sacrifice. If Lincoln's principled moral accounting does not suffice, we might offer a more political argument against reparations. When those arguing for these payments ask the descendants of the Africans who enslaved their fellow Africans and then sold them to European slave traders to make them, then Americans might consider listening to arguments about reparations. And if the descendants of Africans still in Africa involved in the slave trade paid reparations, then the U.S. government might consider doing the same. But in fact, we are already paying reparations in a way. Affirmative action programs have been in place for over 30 years. They are very expensive. Federal, state... Language Diversity in International Management Teams Essay - 3

Language Diversity in International Management Teams - Essay Example Just like a delicate flower which has, for the first time, opened its brilliant petals in a show of defiance against the mundane, the skier illustrates their prowess for danger by their first hill selection. The individual also looks for potential obstacles which can block their path on the way down, making a mental map to avoid various trees or boulders on their decided path. A skier is a strategist, paying careful attention to potential roadblocks and then determining the most appropriate course of least resistance. A skier is a sea of troubles. All new skiers inevitably collide with others during their first trips down the mountain as they become familiar with their surroundings. Some laugh at their incompetence and others do not, much like in the real world where one cannot make everyone happy no matter how hard they attempt to do so. A skier is a carnival ride. The beloved Octopus ride, with this gyrating and spinning two-man cars, lurches side to side and vertically, rocking the carnival scene with a wild presentation of shaking and the provision of laughing riders. A new skier who has not yet mastered the art of balance will flail their arms wildly about, lurching down the hill in the awkward frenzy, giggling at their own inefficiency as they gyrate down the slope. Language plays a very important role in the critical thinking process, due largely to the fact that language is used to promote positive social interaction, improve interpersonal comprehension, and overcome certain social misunderstandings (Vogler, 2007). Critical thinking involves being able to assess the person’s environment or situation and look for an appropriate response or solution to the scenario by using logic, reasoning, persuasion, or simply good judgment based on social expectations.

Are cell phones dangerous Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1750 words

Are cell phones dangerous - Essay Example This is the main reason why the wireless industry dismisses the idea that cell phones are dangerous. This paper argues that the public should not easily overlook the possible harms of long-term cell phone use. Using cell phones can lead to cancer and critically harm children, especially since independent studies indicate potential biological effects of cell phone use. Extensive cell phone use can change or heat biological tissues enough to possibly cause cancer or other cellular changes. Walsh highlights the 1995 study of Lai, who co-wrote a study demonstrating that a â€Å"single two-hour exposure of RF radiation,† which are the levels deemed as safe by U.S. standards, had genetically damaged rats’ brain cells enough that they developed cancer (48). Other studies could not replicate the same findings, but they are funded by the wireless industry, stresses Walsh (48). ... Graham-Rowe stresses that William Stewart, the leader of the British government's â€Å"independent expert group† on mobile phones has taken these findings on a serious note. Graham-Rowe interviews Stewart who states: â€Å"These results are very important and potentially far-reaching. Independent confirmation is crucial and we need this quickly† (4). Graham-Rowe explains that microwaves normally do not have enough energy to damage even weak chemical bonds in human cells, so scientists think that they cannot make enough damage, unless they can heat up the cells (4). Heating up cells may be an effect of cell phones that come from the long-term human use of these gadgets. These studies provide some evidence that it is possible that cell phones, however weak their radio-frequency (RF) radiation may be, can introduce changes at cellular levels, especially at the present prevalence of cell phone use. Other studies provide findings that the same energies and heat from cell ph ones can result to changes in biological tissues. Graham-Rowe reports on another scientific research done by David de Pomerai at the University of Nottingham. De Pomerai affirms that cell phone radiation can impact nematode worms, though heating is not enough to explain it (5). Based on Graham-Rowe’s interview, De Pomerai's team discovered that nematode worms that are exposed to microwaves at frequencies comparable to those released by a cell phone, â€Å"increased the number of worms that go on to produce eggs† (5). The same energy and heat emitted by cell phones have caused these animals to become more fertile. This study suggests that it is possible that cell phone has radiation levels that are high enough to warming cells or to induce some cellular level of changes.

Hamlet And The Theories Of Tragedy

Hamlet And The Theories Of Tragedy Shakespeares Hamlet includes various theories and elements of tragedy, of which two will be discussed in this essay. Shakespeare addresses Aristotles theory of tragedy, but he challenges the theory in many aspects through setting, plot, and character. Shakespeare seems to heavily incorporate the wheel of fortune theory of tragedy, mostly through the character Hamlet. Aristotle, who is concerned with formal presentation of tragic plays, defines tragedy as: a representation of an action that is worth serious attention, complete in itself, and of some amplitude; in language enriched by a variety of artistic devices appropriate to the several parts of the play; presented in the form of action, not narration; by means of pity and fear bringing about the purgation of such emotion. (Aristotle 38 9) Shakespeare employs character and plot in order to create an atmosphere that is unsettling and dark, which instead of conjuring fear and pity instead sets up an atmosphere rank with revenge. In this way, Hamlet does not follow Aristotles definition of tragedy. Another of the ways Aristotle characterizes tragedy is through The noble actions and the doings of noble persons (Aristotle 35). According to Aristotle, Hamlet should be a noble person committing noble actions. This is best represented in the scene where Hamlet refuses to kill Claudius during prayer. T his becomes the turning point for Hamlet, where he truly becomes an ignoble person, saying he wants Claudius Soul may be damned and black/ As hell, whereto it goes. Hamlet truly wants Claudius to suffer in the worst possible manner, and in doing so Hamlet falls from nobility. Aristotle also believed heroes are First and foremost good (Aristotle 51). Hamlet does contemplate good and evil frequently, but ultimately Hamlet fall from the path of goodness. Fortinbras may have been the kind of hero Aristotle characterizes, but Fortinbras is not a tragic character. The plot events with which Aristotle disagrees give meaning to Hamlets theme. Shakespeare intentionally portrays many characters unheroic. For example, Hamlet does not treat Ophelia well, but at the same time Ophelias unwavering loyalty to her father causes her to treat Hamlet badly. Both characters invoke disgust from the reader from their ignoble actions. The only characters who act somewhat heroic are Horatio and Fortinbras. Interestingly, these are the only two characters who survive, so Shakespeare may be making some kind of commentary on Aristotles tragic hero. Another theory of tragedy has to do with the wheel of fortune. This kind of Tragedy was perceived as a reversal of fortune, a fall from a high position. This view of tragedy derives from the Medieval concept of fortune, which was personified as Dame Fortune, a blindfolded woman who turned a wheel at whim; men were stationed at various places on the wheelthe top of the wheel represented the best fortune, being under the wheel the worst fortune. However, the wheel could turn suddenly and the man on top could suddenly be under the wheel, without warning. (Landmarks of Literature) There are many instances where Shakespeare incorporates these elements of tragedy into Hamlet. At the beginning of the play, Horatio cries out to the Ghost, Speak to me: If thou art privy to thy countrys fate, / Which, happily, foreknowing may avoid, / O, speak! Horatios outburst suggests that fate isnt inevitable, but earlier Horatio indicates that the Ghost is a bad omen, just like in Rome before the mightiest Julius fell and the graves stood tenantless and the sheeted dead/ Did squeak and gibber in the Roman streets. Horatios conception of fate embodies the fate of the the entire country, not the individual. In response to a comment about how mens faults can ruin reputations, Hamlet responds by saying, Carrying, I say, the stamp of one defect/ Being natures livery or fortunes star/ Their virtues else- be they pure as grace/ As infinite as man may undergo/ Shall in the general censure take corruption/ From that particular fault. Hamlet establishes his view of fate and bad character with this claim; he thinks you are either born with bad qualities or you acquire them through the environment (through no device of your own), but its not something that a person is in control of; rather it is something that simply happens to a person, and there is no way to avoid it. Later in this scene Hamlet exclaims, My fate cries out, / And makes each petty artery in this body / As hardy as the Nemean lions nerve. Hamlet believes it is his fate to follow the ghost, and because it is his fate he is given the strength and vigor with which to do it. Hamlet asks Rosencrantz and Guildenstern how they are, and Guildenstern answers, Happy, in that we are not over-happy, on fortunes cap we are not the very button. This is a joke that implies that Guildenstern and Rosencrantz live in Fortunes privates; This joke implies that Fortune is a whore. Later in the same scene, the idea that Fortune is a whore comes up again in a more serious tone. During a play, Hamlet asks the First Player to recite the piece of the death of Priam. Afterwards, the player comments: Out, out, thou strumpet, Fortune! All you gods, In general synod take away her power; Break all the spokes and fellies from her wheel, And bowl the round nave down the hill of heaven, As low as to the fiends! (2.2.493-497) The player is asking the gods to break Fortunes wheel and roll her down to hell. The idea is that our destinies are merely random, when people try to climb on top of the wheel it may simply move and the person on top becomes the one being crushed by the wheel. The First Players speech calls for a fate ruled by something other than Fortune. Hamlets third soliloquy suggests that fortune is simply out to hurt you and questioning whether it is even worth it to challenge the wheel of fortune: To be, or not to be: that is the question: / Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer / The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, / Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, / And by opposing end them? Before the play The Murder of Gonzago, Hamlet stands alone with Horatio and commends him as A man that Fortunes buffets and rewards / Hast taen with equal thanks. Hamlet goes on to praise Horatio for not becoming a pipe for Fortunes finger to play; Hamlet appears envious of Horatio, praising him for a quality that Hamlet himself lacks. Hamlet sees himself as passions slave, a person who cannot maintain a stable identity or sense of self. In The Murder of Gonzago the Player King tells his wife that he hopes when he dies she will find a good man and remarry. The wife promises vehemently she will not find another husband after his death, to which the king responds: This world is not for aye, nor tis not strange / That even our loves should with our fortunes change. The king points out that a man who has been favored by fortune could just as easily lose his fortune, and with it his friends, money, wife, etc. The king doesnt address it as though it is something to be deplored, but simply the way of life and something that needs to be accepted, because Our wills and fates do so contrary run / That our devices still are overthrown; / Our thoughts are ours, their ends none of our own. In the end, the king is right, and the wife quickly remarries after the kings death. After Polonius has been stabbed, Hamlet says to the body, take thy fortune; / Thou findst to be too busy is some danger. Hamlet believes Polonius fortune was not simply bad luck; Hamlet believes Polonius brought his own bad luck upon himself and had earned his own death. Later in the same scene, Hamlet says, For this same lord, / I do repent: but heaven hath pleased it so, / To punish me with this and this with me, / That I must be their scourge and minister. According to this view of things, Polonius death is not an accident at all, but part of a divine plan. In the last scene of the play, Hamlet writes to Horatio about how he found his own death warrant. Hamlet said he was sneaking around and told Horatio, let us know, / Our indiscretion sometimes serves us well, / When our deep plots do pall: and that should teach us / Theres a divinity that shapes our ends, / Rough-hew them how we will. Hamlet suggests that even though something may look random it could be part of a plan that will turn out for the better. Then, later, Hamlet repeats the concept; Horatio asks how Hamlet could have possibly sealed a new warrant with the kings seal. Hamlet replies, Why, even in that was heaven ordinant and explains that Hamlet had his fathers signet by chance and used it to make the seal. Even later in the scene, right before the final fencing duel, Hamlet says that everything is ill in his heart. He doesnt hint that this feeling is prophetic of his own death in any way, but when Horatio offers to call off the fencing match, Hamlet speaks as though he kno ws hes about to die: Not a whit, we defy augury: theres a special providence in the fall of a sparrow. If it be now, tis not to come; if it be not to come, it will be now; if it be not now, yet it will come: the readiness is all: since no man has aught of what he leaves, what ist to leave betimes? Let be. In another view of this revenge tragedy, Hamlet is the player of a Senecan tragedy. He is involved in a sensational murder scene, commanded by a Senecan ghost desiring revenge, and after hampered by court intrigue, resorts to feigned madness. Since apparitions are known to tell half-truths to deceive people, Hamlet is given instruction without a resolute plan. For majority of the play, he acts with passion and indecision and he proceeds with the ghosts wishes as his adversary allows. And, for the most part, only Claudius, Hamlet, and Horatio know the action of revenge. (Landmarks of Literature) Word Count: 1837

River Phoenix - My Favorite Famous Person :: essays research papers

Do you like to see the movies? Do you know the most handsome boy in Hollywood? Though the handsome boy that everyone thinks can be different , I think that River Phoenix is the movie star who is just the right man who sparkled in Hollywood even if he doesn’t exist in this world and there are a large number of actors and they appear in the future. Why he is famous is because of his too early death and because he played brilliant roles in many movies for his short life. When I saw his movie for the first time, I’ve got crush on him. I think that he had something special which appeal to us. At first, his background is interesting. He was born on August 23, 1970 in a small house in Oregon. He was firstborn child of five children. During his childhood, his parents joined a cult known as the children of God and traveled extensively until when they heard disturbing news about the leader. Since then, as they weren’t protected by the church any more and were in a desperate struggle to make ends meet, River, at age five, often sang and played music in the streets to earn the money. In the early morning of October 31, 1993, River took a lethal dose of a mix of drugs and died on the sidewalk outside. He was only 23 years old. Second, he achieved success in many movies and received many awards. At the age of 10, he started to play on TV shows and his first appearing in film is â€Å"Explorers† in 1985. The next movie which is most famous of his movies and led him to be a star is â€Å"Stand By Me†. The story is about four boys’ journey to find the body missing. He was cast as Chris Chambers. He got a lot of acclaim for his acting and the movie was the hit of the year. Through this movie, everyone knew that he would be one of the best actors of his generation. In closing, I believe that he is still one of the best actors and the most attractive actor because he left the fabulous movies and there are many fans who are fascinated with him.
